Our Mission
Placed in the heart of North County, Salem EFC is an interdependent community of genuine believers and seekers following the ancient path and inviting others to join us on the journey. We desire to be a conduit of reconciliation through the cross of Christ by committing to faithful Biblical teaching and intentionally building loving relationships with one another and our neighbors. We believe God is creating a family of growing Christians at Salem who will reach our community with the Gospel of Christ.

Our Values
Gospel Centrality (Word-based) – We understand that all human beings are under the weight and condemnation of sin and that we cannot save ourselves, but Jesus’ sinless life, his death on the cross, and his resurrection from the dead, provide us the hope and transformation we desperately need when we trust in Him.
We believe God’s truth impacts all we are and all we do and will be the foundation on which we stand, the center of all we do, and the standard we will seek to live by.
Transformed Lives (Spirit-empowered) – We affirm the purpose of human beings is to know God and love him forever through worship and obedience. We endeavor to equip believers in Jesus Christ through opportunities for ongoing growth and sanctification and to invite unbelievers into the new life that is available to them in Jesus Christ.
Gospel Community – We commit in our lives as believers, our relationships with one another, and the ministries we pursue to maintaining transparent, authentic, honest, intimate, loving relationships.
Transformed Culture – We long to love our communities well and see them transformed by the gospel of Jesus Christ. We commit to living lives of faith that are salt and light and seek reconciliation between God and people and between one another.
Diversity – We recognize the beauty of biblical multiculturalism, valuing our differences as a way we multiply the glory of God. We affirm that the Body of Christ is made up of men and women from every tribe, language, nation, and race. We seek to be a congregation where everyone is welcome and our congregation reflects the multiethnic, multigenerational, multicultural diversity of God’s people.
Outreach Focus – We mobilize believers to be the presence of Christ in their places of influence, to help meet basic needs of those who lack, and to stand with the voiceless and marginalized for grace and dignity. We purpose to make Christ known through service, evangelism, and missions locally and to the very ends of the earth.
