What is Angel Food Ministries?
Angel Food Ministries is a non-profit organization dedicated to providing grocery relief and financial support to communities
throughout the United States. This program provides up to $75 worth of food (both fresh and frozen food) for only $30!
"If something is too good to be true, it probably is." $75 worth of food for only $30! What’s the catch?
No catch! The food is purchased in bulk from food distributors that have overstocks.
So where does all the food come from? Am I going to get dented cans, open packages, or expired food?
No. This is all first quality food. There are no second-hand items, no stale, leftover, or damaged goods, and no dented cans
or missing labels.
How does this help me?
You pay $30 and take home up to $75 worth of food. Generally, one $30 unit of food assists in feeding a family of four
for about one week or a senior citizen for almost a month.
What is the "Senior box"?
Angel Food has recently added a new "Senior Menu" to the monthly offering. Anyone can purchase the senior box, but it's
designed with the special needs of seniors in mind. Each senior box contains ten individual meals, fully cooked and labeled,
complete with heating instructions. Each meal has no added sodium, is low in fat, and is nutritionally balanced with 3 oz. of
protein, two vegetables or fruit, and a starch.
Who gets the food I’m paying for?
You do! The food you are buying is yours to keep.
Who can participate?
Everyone is eligible to participate. All you do is turn in your order and payment by the deadline date and pick up your food on the day it arrives. See

Won’t I get tired of eating the same old thing month after month?
Each month’s menu is different from the previous month so you will get a different variety each month of canned goods, fruits, vegetables, frozen
and boxed foods.
What if I really like the menu? Can I buy more than one unit?
You may purchase as many units as you want. There is no limit. And, if you decide to purchase a unit of food you are eligible for Specials each month,
too.
What are Specials?
The Specials are additional items (often things like steaks, chicken breasts, etc.) that are offered at an additional cost on the order flyer. Each month
they are different and you will have two or three options from which to choose.
This sounds fantastic! How can I place my order?
The Flyer/Order Form has all the details. It will give you this month’s menu, descriptions of the specials, the deadline for your order and payment and
the food pick-up date.
How does this work?
This is not s business, but a ministry. We make no money from Angel Food, and participating sites are run entirely by volunteers. We spend no
money on marketing, have no separate overhead, and pay no salaries.
So why are you doing this?
We believe that God loves us and has been good to us, and He wants us to share His love with others and help where we can. The Bible says in 1
John 3:17-18, "If anyone has material possessions and sees his brother in need but has no pity on him, how can the love of God be in him? Dear children,
let us not love with words or tongue but with actions and in truth." We are doing this as a practical expression of God's love. We also find that when
we work together to help meet other people's needs, we are blessed with joy, gratitude, and love as a result.
So do you need volunteers?
Are you kidding? We can always use willing hands and smiling faces. Most of the work takes place on one Saturday per month -- Distribution Day.
People from age 10 to 100 can help out, and there are lots of ways to get involved for any skill or ability level -- unloading, sorting, packing orders,
set-up, take-down, supervising, greeting, order-taking, and more. Contact the church office for more information.

Sunday morning (10:00 – 10:30 or 11:30 – 11:45), or place your order and payment in a self-addressed, stamped envelope (don’t seal it – just tuck in the flap –
we will use it to mail the receipt to you) and deposit it at the north entrance to the sanctuary, or come to the Church to place your order on Mon. Dec. 8, 2008
between 9:00 am and 11:30 am. Orders must be received by 11:30 am.
